Google Business Profile (official API)

Open the page in the appConnect the listing
PivotSEO reads your business listing through the official Google Business Profile API. In Settings, click Reconnect Google to grant the « Manage your Google Business Profile listings » permission (business.manage scope), then add the listing(s) under Google Business Profiles (official API). The Google account must be an owner or manager of the listing. If a listing is managed by a different Google account than Search Console and GA4, click Add a Google account for listings: that account only grants the « listing » permission, shows in green in Settings with Switch account and Disconnect buttons, and the main account stays in place for GSC and GA4 (up to 5 added accounts). Client with several locations? Add each listing with Add a listing (search by name, city or address; up to 10): they show in the Listings tracked by this project list, with Remove and set the main one with Make main: it comes first everywhere. The weekly email and custom reports show one block per listing, preceded in reports by a comparison table of the locations. Tabs at the top of the Google listing, Reviews and Heatmap pages (name and address of each location) switch from one listing to another; on Google listing and Reviews, the All listings tab combines impressions, clicks, calls, directions and reviews, draws one line per listing and compares the locations in a table; each listing has its own statistics, searches, reviews, replies and benchmark, and the Sunday scan refreshes them all. The Use this city button copies the main listing's city as the project city (used for local searches and competitor reviews).
Periods and comparison
- Pick 30, 60 or 90 days, or a custom period (start and end dates).
- Compare with: previous period or same period last year. Every KPI then shows its variation and the charts overlay both periods.
- Google publishes listing statistics with about a 6-day delay: the most recent days are deliberately hidden so the curves don't look like they are collapsing.
Sections of the page
A sticky horizontal menu jumps from one section to the next:
- KPIs: impressions (Search and Maps), website clicks, calls, direction requests, action rate, with variation vs the compared period.
- AI analysis of the period: insights and prioritized actions generated from the period's numbers. This block only covers the listing's figures.
- For an analysis of your whole local presence (listing, reviews, directories, nearby competitors, local pack and heatmap), open the AI analysis tab of the Local presence page. See the article AI analysis of the period.
- Daily charts: impressions and actions day by day, with project events (scans, publications) marked on the curve to link cause and effect.
- Listing → site funnel: impressions → actions → website clicks → GA4 sessions coming from the listing → engaged sessions → conversions.
- Seasonality and action mix: 18 months of history, website / calls / directions share month by month.
- Competitor benchmark: rating, review count, photos and posts of your listing versus same-category competitors in your area.
- Breakdown Search vs Maps, mobile vs desktop, and weekday.
- 12-month trend, Searches that surfaced your listing and Reviews (see the dedicated articles).
UTM link for the GA4 funnel
To measure sessions coming from the listing, the « Website » link of your Google listing must contain ?utm_source=gbp&utm_medium=organic&utm_campaign=gbp. PivotSEO shows the exact link to copy in the Funnel section. If the listing points to a URL shortener (bit.ly, etc.), PivotSEO flags it: replace it with the direct link carrying the UTM.
PDF export
The Export to PDF button expands every section, adds a header (listing, period, date) and opens the browser print dialog: choose « Save as PDF ». The document keeps the charts and AI analyses as displayed.
Sunday scan, archive and digest
The listing is refreshed at every weekly scan (Sunday) and served from cache during the week. Daily metrics, monthly searches and reviews are archived in PivotSEO with no limit: history grows every week and keeps even the reviews deleted on Google's side. The weekly email digest includes a Google Business Profile block: KPIs week vs previous, new reviews, negative reviews unanswered for more than 48 h and top searches.
