Publish an article as a WordPress draft

What it does

Every content brief whose article has been generated shows a WordPress block: one click sends the article straight into your WordPress site as a draft — never published live without your review. No more copy-pasting: the text arrives ready to proofread in the WordPress editor.

Prerequisite — create a WordPress application password

• 1. Log in to your WordPress and go to Users → Profile.
• 2. Scroll to the Application Passwords section, give it a name (e.g. “PivotSEO”) and click Add.
• 3. Copy the generated password immediately (it will never be shown again). It is separate from your login password: it can be revoked at any time without touching your account.

How to use it

• 1. Open your brief (Content briefs page → click the brief) and generate the article if not done yet — the send button stays inactive until an article exists.
• 2. In the WordPress block, click Configure (once per project): site URL (e.g. https://yoursite.com), WordPress username and the application password created above.
• 3. Click Verify & save: the connection is tested for real against your site before saving, and the password is encrypted server-side — it is never displayed in clear again.
• 4. Click Send as WordPress draft. The message “Sent as draft — review and publish from WordPress” appears with a View link to the draft.
• 5. Open the draft in WordPress, proofread, adjust, then publish from WordPress as usual.

After sending

• The brief's published_url field is updated with the article's link — your content pipeline stays up to date automatically.
• If IndexNow is configured for the project, submission to Bing happens automatically for articles published via WordPress: no extra action.
